This pretty Tote / Porch Pouch is the perfect Summertime accessory!

This Robin's Nest Tote was so fun to make! I really loved putting the altered art touches on it.
Each bag will feature the gorgeous Anna Griffin "Grace" fabric and my compilation of the bird's nest over sheet music on muslin background.The bag pictured is a one-of-a-kind, however I do have enough fabric to make 2 additional bags in the green and blue Anna Griffin fabric and I have the same fabric with blue moire ribbon stripes and pink flowers, enough to make 3 bags that would be similar, but with perhaps different calico linings, button and yo-yo fabrics or rolled roses, lace & ribbon trimming. Each is an individualized work of art.

This beauty is handcrafted starting with a most beautiful Anna Griffin fabric called Grace. The lovely green moire stripes, french blue and sepia toned flowers on a creamy background are perfect Springtime colors.

The lining is a very special vintage calico with tiny blue vines and flowers on a soft blue background that has been stored in my cedar chest, in perfect condition, just waiting for the right project.

A layer of fleece interfacing gives this tote just the right amount of body and there are two big, fully lined pockets on each side of the interior!

How about these embellishments!!

The centerpiece started with a digital collage I made of a beautiful robin's nest with 3 tiny blue eggs layered on top of french music sheet and printed on creamy cotton.
I feathered the edges and zigzag stitched in blue thread all around. At the top left corner is a tiny corsage made with a coordinating yo-yo centered with an antique black and cream button, a bit of pearlescent ivory ribbon, a strand of very vintage tiny ivory ric-rac and a wisp of tan tattered netting from a vintage hat.
All of these pieces would be finery any bird would happily sing about finding to weave into her nest!

Topping it all off is a delicate blue vintage crocheted edging sent to me by a very special friend a while back in a secret sister package!

Softly padded self fabric double handles with a 12.5" drop.

Finished size is 13" tall x 15.5" wide at the bottom and 13" wide at the top.
